Spore needs Leopard?

June 17, 2008

I finally got to download one of the two biggest downloads for the day – Spore Creature Creator. After looking at a couple of YouTube vides of the creator, both me and my little one have been dying to try out the creator. But alas, after the huge download completed, the installer quit saying Spore needs 10.5.3. What a shame?

Man, I have been pushing off getting that Leopard, but with each Leopard-only app, my resolve is weakening.

I guess I will have to make to do with my Windows box for Spore.

It’s been a year! Woo Hoo!

February 22, 2008

Yep. It has been one year (and a few days) since I started this second attempt at maintaining a web log. I have a little under 50 posts in one year, which translates to about a post per week.

While I would like to post more, I am happy with 50, since I kind of forgot the blog for a few months after I started it last February. Hopefully, I can keep up the post frequency from here on. Do stop by later.

Quote of the week – Ayn Rand

November 2, 2007

To say “I love you” one must first be able to say the “I.”

Quote of the week — Bill Watterson

October 25, 2007

Sometimes when I’m talking, my words can’t keep up with my thoughts. I wonder why we think faster than we speak. Probably so we can think twice.

We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.”

Cool stop motion animation

September 30, 2007

Now, the title of my blog is a direct inspiration from the animation technique – Stop Motion. Here is one cool stop motion animation.

Now, that’s a coach…

September 25, 2007

Take a look at this coach’s tirade against a news reporter. After I saw the video, I *had* to see the news article in question, and undoubtedly it is of poor taste. However, the point is, this coach is one that is worth playing for…

Zeitgeist – The Movie

September 13, 2007

Zeitgeist [tsahyt-gahyst] -noun German : the spirit of the time; general trend of thought or feeling characteristic of a particular period of time.

Recently, I happened to watch Zeitgiest, The Movie. It is available completely free online. I cannot say that I was blown away, but it definitely piqued my interests in the ‘Federal Reserve System‘, ‘The Gold Standard‘, and also to an extent on the Christian beliefs on the origin of Jesus.

Although it lost a little of its charm for me because of its propagandist attitude, it still was a revelation.

Take a peek. You will be hooked!

Take Two! Action!

February 19, 2007

Wow. It’s nice to be back on the ether. One thing I learned from my previous attempt at maintaining a blog, is to never host it at your home. With the upload speeds we get with conumer broadband, it is just not feasible to host any non-text stuff in your blog. And the operational issues of keeping the box up and running are quite a headache too. I am going to keep my fingers crossed on how this hosted attempt is going to work out.
